Johnson County Kansas Genealogical Society Questions and Queries |
Questions and QueriesWe will be happy to answer specific questions which may require simple lookups of Johnson County, Kansas records such as obituaries, marriage records, wills, state census records, etc. However, our volunteer resources are limited. Please do not ask us to do general research or to research records which are already available. Johnson County is in eastern Kansas bordering Missouri. Please consult a map to be sure this is the area of Kansas in which you are interested.
Research questions may be sent to the Corresponding Secretary by email at: Please place "Genealogical Query" in the subject line. Posting QueriesAt this time we do not post queries on this site. However, we will publish queries in our quarterly magazine upon request.
Queries to be printed in the quarterly should be sent to the Corresponding Secretary by email at: Genealogy MentorsThe following members of the Johnson County Genealogical Society have volunteered to be mentors for genealogical researchers who need a person they can contact when problems are encountered. These volunteers are all well qualified in genealogical and family history research. Each, however, has his or her special strengths. Mentors will not do research for you. They will discuss your research situation and suggest what to do next or where to go to find a solution to your question. There is no charge.
To contact one of these mentors, contact our Corresponding Secretary by email at: Email AddressesThe email addresses on this and other pages are formatted in such a way as to minimize the automatic extraction of these addresses for the purpose of spam. To use these addresses, change the ...at... to the "at" symbol (@) and merge the addressee with the organization address. For example, for email to the webmaster, combine the two pieces so that the middle section of the final email address looks like ...master@johnson... (no spaces before and after the @ symbol). |
